Our first beer! A pils created for everyone that seeks something special in their Finnish beer.
The beer is a combination of the hops Simcoe and Amarillo which we have come to love. This, in combination will a fair amount of caramellmalt and we got ourselves a winner. This is how they roll it on the west coast – and we like it!
We have brewed this IPA mainly for out love of hops of all kinds. One of the best ways to create a combination of bitterness, taste and aroma it to keep "hopping" the beer through the entire brewing process. This is exacly what we have done with this beer, from the mash and wort all the way to the fermentation. We have also cooked some of the hops sous-vide to keep most of the oils in the hops intact.
In the fall and winter times many of enjoy darker, fuller and spicier beer - and many of us associate the darker seasons with porters and spices. As a former pastry chef I've have a special recipe for Chai that I wanted to try combining with beer. This has now become reality, we pretent to you, the Chai Porter. Let the spices warm you in the winter cold!
